Head and Shoulders Mint

Hey girlies

Wow...i never thought i would blog on a Monday night. I hate my mondays. They are soo long. I don't come home until 6 ish, and by the time i get home, i eat, shower, and then i just want to sleep. I don't have time to do homework, and i pretty much lack all the motivation to bother attempting to do any homework..Ahhh..

So yeah, back to my point of this post. I just took a shower, and i just have to tell you all about this great product

This is the one i'm using!

did you laugh out? haha. I know i would if someone was raving about head and shoulders. teehee

I remember back then when i was little, i hated head and shoulders, with a passion. It smelt bad, and it made my hair feel weird.

Well anywas, my mommi buys the shampoo in this family, and the other day we ran out and i reached into the cabinet to get some shampoo and this was what was left. So desperate times...calls for head and shoulders.

I can not believe how amazing it makes my head feels. My hair feels VERY SOFT , moisturized and shinyy! I love it. I can't stop touching my hair when i used it the first time. I love the minty feel. It's this cooling, sensation when you wash out the shampoo. In fact, i feel it right now while sitting here typing this up.

wow. i'm just so amazed and surprised. Previously, i have been using Fructis, which i have learned to hate, i think it gives me dandruff and dried out hair.

Props to Head and Shoulders, for their amazing marketing and new formula. They have basically transformed this product into a completely different one. Just look at the packaging, the marketing, the advertisement, and new formula. I wish my business project will be this sucessful..:/ sigh...

Now, i know i HAVE to try the conditioner as well. I'm one of those girls that can not live without conditioner. Having pretty, soft, and healthy hair is just one of those little things that makes me happy, especially with the dry, cold weather here in Ontario..

Check it out, and give it a try if you ever get the chance!

Here are my equipments :D

How long my bangs were...

Hello ~ Red Head

Hii darlings!

On tuesday, i've decided to dye my hair. i haven't been paying much attention to my hair lately, because i've been so busy with other stuff, and i've been trying to stop styling it as often, because the heat is burning my hair. It looks pretty dead right now because i dyed it and bleached it so many times this year. I don't remember if i bloged about it before, but basically in the summer, i wanted to go ash blond. YAH i know, bad decision, for doing it at home. Basically bf and i went out to get the dye products and bleaching products.

The first time i bleached it/dyed it, it didn't go blond, instead it went orange, and i mean ORANGE. it was so disgusting, i didn't even know what to do about it. i was like so sad, everytime i looked into th emirror. So then i tried to bleach it yet a second time hopping it goes to blond, but i guess i was a chicken, and i didn't want it to go like white white, so i alwaysed washed it out before it turned blond. i don't know, something about bleaching freaks me out. What if my hair falls out? hahaha. So yES, my hair disaster, the next few times, i kept dying it to make it an aceceptable colour. So i think i dyed my hair like 5-6 times this year, all in a month. It was miserable. Surprisingly, my hair didn't all fall out yet, but i can definately tell that it's damaged, because i heat my hair as well.

So ever since that, i stopped with dying hair, because i don't want to do any more damage with it, but the other day i realized that my roots were coming out, and i looked gross. Especialyl when you tie parts of your hair up, so i decided i needed to dye my hair, to make myself feel better. You know when you haven't been taking care of your physical appearance for so long that you feel so blah. Well so i decided a hair dye would make my feel better. hahaha, and i LOVE IT. I don't even know how to describe it. This must be the most successful times i have dyed my hair this year. The colour came out amazing, and i love my dark hair. I just look so ...GAHHH with light hair. Maybe if i was tanner, it would be another story.

But anywas, so i was in shoppers with hunnie, because we didn't have anything to do, and we were waiting for steven to finish class to pick him up, so i suggested going into shoppers, and that's when i just decided, okay, i'll dye my hair today. it's already looking blah, how much worse can it get.

So i decided to go red, burgendy, because it's fall, and dark colours is nice, plus since i do have light hair now, the red would turn up super good. So i picked up LOREAL

i THINK* it's this box, but the image is different, same girl though i believe. i just remember it's was number 56.

This one is much different from the pass hair dyes that i have tried. This one has a shampoo tube, instead of a conditioner tube. It also comes with a miniture tube with "maximizing colour" benefits. Basically you add this to the bottle. The content in this tube was red liquid, and it was so intense. It looked like blood, because i got some o my hand, and when i looked at it, i thought i just bled. But anywas, i think this is the product that has made my hair look so red. Never have i dyed my hair red, that i have gotten this kind of result, so i'm absolutely satified with this product. THOUGH, i can't not guarentee that this product is just more amazing then the other hair dyes, because my hair WAS lighter before i dyed it. So that may have some impact on the results. Overall, i love this hair dye, aand what it has done. If anyone is interested, try it out and tell me how it is. I would like to know if it's just that amazing, or im' just lucky. haha

THOUGH, washing it out was a pain in the toosh. It was so red, i thought i was staring in a murder scene of a movie. the red colour just kept on coming out and out and out, like it never ended. So i just gave up after i realized that it would never stop. I tried my best to get most of it out tho. I still see the pink colour water when i wash it though. It must have been that maximing colour tube, i tell you. I left the hair in for approx. 45 minutes btw. Some part of my scalp has been dyed, but not alot. I just noticed two spots the other day. It should wash out when i shower again tho. But overall, nice product. I was a little sad that it didn't have a conditioner tho. I had to use their shamppoo, which was really creamy by the way, but not as.."foamy" i like foamy shampoo. But yeah. i had to use my own conditioner. :/. Loreal should definately put a conditioner in there. I always love the conditioners that they provide in hair dyes, they are so creamy and nice. It makes my hair feel absolutely wonderful.

Anywas, here are some pictures:

a Shot of the Hair itself:

A before, just to refresh ur memory:

When i dyed my hair, it was night, so i didn't see the red in the light, but the next morning when i went to school and the sun was out and about, my hair was literally sparkling red. You could also see the red when i'm indoors, but it's not like red red, it's just the tinted red. It also looks like there is purple in it? Maybe it' just my eyes. But i'm loving it. Absolutely loving it. I went all girly the next day, even when it's a school day. What i like about it the most is that it's actually noticable. Most of the time when i dye my hair, my brothers are like. it looks the same, but this time my brother was actually like...it looks different. hahaha. So i was happy. I got all girly the next day like i said. People started asking me if i was gonna go out on a date or something, i didn't even see bf that night. haha. Yah, so i had a succesfful dye...finally.....i don't think i'd even consider bleaching, or dying my hair a blong ever again...unless it's highlights/streaks.

Maybe i'll do that for the summer. For now, i'm embracing the dark colours. :)

Here is the final results:

with flash:

i didn't resize, because then you guys won't be able to see how gorgeous the colour looks. It looks like i have purple, red, hair with highlights :D I also adjusted the lighting on the photos, just so you can see the colour better.

Anywas, this was meant to be a short post, but i ended up ranting. I'm actually at the school library right now, just waiting for class to start, so i decided to blog, since i don't really want to study in this short hour. I rather do something....fun..hahaha...ofcourse though, when you guys are reading this, it's probably gonna be night, because i'm not posting it until i have time to take pictures. So ..yes. just remember that when i was writting this, it's exactly 9.57 AM NOV.12/09. hahaha. i'm werid. >.< ....WHO blogs that early?? yah well, i've having ag ood day, because it's all nice and sunny outside, a little chilly, but not windy; so i feel happpy. Nice weather makes my happy :D

A last one by yours truly:

Edit: November 14th...taking a picture of the hair was a pain in the ass. It's so much harder to get a good shot when ur hair is darker. :)

A post Dedicated to my wife; Nancy

So may i warn you that this is a picture spam.

My long lost xx.wifey came to see me today, since she will be abandoned for 5 weeks, and decided to pay a visit because she had to drive her daddi down for a checkup with a specialist.

She has such long healthy hair that i had to destroy it with the Chi. hahaha. j/k. I wanted to experiment, because i don't have long hair like that right now, so i thought i curl her hair with soft curls, because she doesn't think tight curls would look good on her. *heart shape face, and volumious curls just emphasize the width of the face. So swirls looked cute on her.

Also i thought it would be a good way to test out the Chi. Overall there was steam coming from the straightener. THe hair didn't not tug on her HEALTHY hair and curling was a breeze. Though i did have some difficulty because the chi wasn't long enough in wide, so sometimes when i take wide chunks it would all slip out. The flat iron's grasp on the hair isn't very strong. You have to hold it realy tight. So that's a good and bad thing. Maybe thats why it doesn't tug on the hair. But overall, i'm loving this flat iron.

PLUS: This probbaly took 15-20 minutes. It always take me longer than that with SHORT HAIR and with a REAL CURLING IRON.

This is the result:

after:

As you can see, i went a ltitle crazy taking pictures. I'm starting to think i should be a photographer. hahahaha jk.

So i also gave her a full makeover, because she dosn't wear make up, so i thought it'd be neat to experiment. I swear, i have never encounter anyone twitching as much as she does. You know when the person doesn't wear make up WHEN! hahaaha. we had alot of difficuly putting liquid eyelinear on her! hahaha. Curling her lashes was also dangerous. ..hahhaha..

"tell me if it hurts, cos i did it for my cousin and i clamped her skin off"
"o_o"
"What??!"
"it was an accident"
"Can i do it myself?"
"ok, go. WAIT! ur not aloud to see ur make up yet"
"o_o"
................her fate was in my hands...hahahaha

Everything went fine. i just couldn't do a good job curling her lashes because she kept moving and scared shitless of the curler. ..SIGHH.. hahahaha

I forgot to take a clear picture of her make up, so i will redo it onmyself and post a picture of the look another time, when i get a good pic of it.

p.s. Enjoy nguoi yeu. I hope you are happy now, since this post is basically dedicated to you and your volumious hair. hahaha.

Chi Farouk Straightener

Hey guys!

so i haven't been able to update as much as i would like to because of school. I think i would be able to update only on the weekends now. I love blogging because it keeps me away from homework , school and all the stress, and lets me do what i LIKE to do. Probably like you guys who are reading this blog and slacking from class, hmwk, or work! hahaha

Anywas, so almost 2 weeks ago, boyfriend got me a straightener. This straightener was retailed at $74 at beauty choice.com in USD. It could go up to 100+ plus, and he was able to get two BRAND NEW for 50 bucks off kijiji. let me repeat 50 BUCKS. 5 and 0. 50 BUCKS! hahaahah. There is a seller, selling it for 60bucks, but he bargained for 50 each since he had to get two. One for myself and one for his cousin.

Okay, so we all know that it could be fake, because it's online, you don't know right? so we both drove to the guy's place and looked at it before buying it. Things you should know when identifying if it's real or fake could be found on this page.

http://reviews.ebay.ca/Determing-if-your-Chi-Flat-Iron-is-FAKE_W0QQugidZ10000000011204116

And from my observations i could honestly believe that this is authentic. Which is a pro and con for me. From all the raving that i have heard about the Chi, it was a total disappointment when i saw the Chi, because the plastic part (black part) looks dirt cheap. It's not what i expect from a flat iron that expensive. Its not BAD, it' s just i expect more. You can easly make marks on it, it's not terribly noticable, just only when light reflects on it. You have to realy stare at it to see it. It may not be a BIG thing, in fact you may not even notice anything, but i thought Chi would've been better than that. Also, i'm starting to understand why people say the Chi is not durable, from the looks of it, i think i have to take care of it. It's not a straightener you want to throw around the room. :) My conair has been quite abused, so this should be new routine for me. haahah

On the flip side, i do love the design of this straightener. It makes straightening very easy, cos you just split your hair clamp and pull it thru. There is some steam for some reason when i straighten it. It may be because my hair was still a little damp one time. Other than that, the results of the curl are okay. My hair didn't feel more soft or conditioned.

The reason i'm saying this is because, one time at vaughn mills there was a stand with a person selling straighteners, i forgot what the brand was called, but he was trying so hard to convince me to buy the striaghtener, but i didn't like how it looked. ( i know, i'm big on the look of a product) but it did give me incredibly soft hair. The straightener was said to be 100% ceramic, and restore the moisture back into the hair that's why when you straighten it, it feels soft. incredible soft! But it also made my hair look very flat in the end. (but this isn't the problem) it did fix my frizziness problem though. Now i kinda regret not getting it, after writting all of that. hahah. sry i do not remember the brand, but it looks like a Amika. I don't think that's the brand tho. It had colours - pink purple and black. MAKE sure you BARGAIN for this. Act like u don't like it so they try harder to convince u to buy it. They will lower the price, cos they are desperate for people to buy! hahaha. I'm not sure how much was it the original price, but he went down to 100 for me, because it old him there was another striaghtener i was intrested in getting that cost about 100ish. You might be able to go down to 90.

But anywas, back to the Chi. it definately is better than the conair. The conair dried my hair like crazy and it pulled on my hair all the time. So bf was on a mission to find me a flat iron, because i complain about my conair and the crazy damage that it has done to my hair alot. hahah. This straightener is cheaper than the conair that i got. I think the conair that i got was about 70-80 bucks! SHEESH, but there definately is a difference between the two. Lemme compare:

The Chi:

heats up very fast, within 3 seconds
Does not pull on your hair AT ALL
smooth edges for curling hair
delivers incredible heat
automatic heating
100% ceramic
light, and easy maunvers
long enough cord
STAYS in the way it was styled.

NOTE* sometimes there is vapours from straightening. i don't know if that's a good thing? if you know lv me a comment.

I use this straightener to quicky striaghten my hair in the morning because i have naturally messy wavy hair. It does a GREAT job at volumizing and i'll show you guys a pic of what i do in a bit.

Overall it's a great upgrade from the conair that i have been using, espcially for the price. This straightener might not be what your looking for if you have very thick and curly hair. You would probably need a bigger flattener so it covers more surface area. It's a great striaghtener though if you already have striaght hair and just wanna curl it sometimes. It's great for curling because it doesn't tug the hair so the curls come out very nicely and easily. it takes me less than 5 minutes to curl my hair in the front.

so here are some pics of me using the straightener to volumize my flat hair

1: section hair. Take 2/3 of the front hair and pull it forward. Secure with bobby pin. seperate horizontaly in the back. Vertically in the front.
2. Take a flat horizontal section. you will have Two on the side and one in the back.
3. clamp hair, and turn 360 degree pull out one inch and release
4. Do this for all 3 sections.
5. unclamp the hair in front and release another layer of hair. I do about 3 layers. Leave one layer for the later part.
6. repeat #3 & 4. keep working towards the hair closest to the forehead.

Note: ensure you have one last layer that will not be "curled" so that it could be flipped back to hide all the "styling" done. This layer will blend in with the volumized layers below, which would help make your volume appear natural and effortless.
7. Style bangs (if any) as desired.

Believe it or not, i only curled 2 section on each side.

FEKKAI GLOSSING CREAM- HYDRATED, SLEEKS AND SHINES

i have been using this product for almost a month now, and i can not stop using this. This is not a leave in conditioner, but i'm using it like one. I have said my hair is dehydrated and frizzy and rough when it dries shortly after i shower. I hate that feeling. When i apply this to my damp hair, it doesn't exactly help with the frizziness, but it does make my hair feel so soft and silky like. I love the feeling, and i don't think i can live without this product at the moment. If you want to ensure that it shines, you should apply it when your hair is dry. You can't really see the shine, if your hair is wet.

It's a very thick consistency, and it smells nice. The cream is thick, and it feels a little sticky. It has shimmer. You can see the shimmer in your fingers, and i guess that is what's making the hair shiny and glossy, after you've applied it to your hair.

This product is $24.00 CAD for the 116 ML and i think $32 CAD for the 200 ML.

It's quite pricey, but i realy love it, so i just had to get it. I got a sample of it from the GLOW magazine, and i'm STILL not finish with it yet, so thats why i settled with the smaller bottle. The brand is new to me, it's also new at Shoppers also. you can get it at Sephora, or Shoppers Drug Mart. The prices is the same. They also offer shampoo and conditioner. I have not yet tried them, because they are SOOO expensive. A Shampoo is 30+ a bottle. It's suppose to be salon quality, i guess that's why the price is up the roof. But if you can get your hands on the sample, definitely give it a try.

It's was also awarded "Best of Sephora"

Overall, happy with this product.
