Super Kawaii Nail Art

Hii everyoneeeeeeeeeeee!!

i'm super excited to show you what i've done with my nails. It's been MONTHS and MONTHS since i've done my nails. It just takes too much time and effort, PLUS i run out of ideas. The other day, i was a little bored, so i decided to play with my icing nail polish while i was watching a movie at home. Since i started on it so late, i didn't finish it. So i basically walked around with my left hand finish, and my right hand all bare! LOL that seems to be my signature now, because i've been doing it a lot! So basically, i didn't finish my right hand until last night?? This is what i've came up with:

argg..i really dislike blogger upload, the quality of the picture decrease so much!

Here is a picture of better quality: reminds me a bit of easter??! haha

These are the two thumbs. (left, right) Each nail had a different yet similar and uniform design

this is my right hand. it was hard to draw on this one, because i'm right handed, but i actually like the designs on this one much more. With the exception of the yellow one, which i'm a tad lazy to re-do ;) i'm not sure if you can recognize it, but it's actually a butterfly at the top of my yellow coloured fingernail. :D

this is my left hand. I worked on this hand first. My personal favourite is the first finger with the "daisy" flowers.

& here is a photo of my set of nails. I feel pretty proud. I spent a lot more time on these, then usual. I've been wearing solid colours lately, so it's nice to see a little something going on my fingernails!

In case you guys were wondering..these are the polishes i've used. Completely inexpensive, and it does the work!

Surprisingly, i don't have a nude nail polish. i found this at home somewhere and just decided to try it out! The icing nail polishes i've gotten recently. The thickness of the nail polish is AWESOME for nail art. I love it. Especially the yellow. I completely fell in love while using it. A thin consistency does not achieve the same look, because the colour tends to "bleed" so you won't get the bold look when you're doing something like "dotting" designs. If you are interested, i've swatched the icing nail polish in this post. Click Here

Also, i actually forgot the include the sparkling nail polish i used for the glittery strokes. I've used it quite a bit of time, if you check my nail link, you will see it. It's called NAIL DECO

Also, i thought i'd share what i use for the designs. Sorry, i didn't clean it yet. The one on the left, i used to make the flower designs and the small dotting. The large one is for the large dots. The one on the left i actually purchased as a set on ebay, for approx $5.00 CAD. It was a set of 12ish Nail brush, very inexpensive. However, i dont really use any of them, except this one. The one on the right, was actually given to me by a good friend of my parents. She knows i love to do my nails, and she owned a nail salon herself, so she gave me this to try out.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post! I just came back from Toronto. I went with my parents, because they wanted to get some grocery in Chinatown (fyi. it's cheaper there). I also happen to find something there, which i'm dying to try out now, so i'll make sure to update on that! I have so much more to blog about, but i'm getting a little...lazyy??! haha. Lots of things have been happening, GOOD THINGS of course. I'll slowly update i guess!

Oh YES..thank you for all whom have joined the giveaway, and hello to all my new followers! My next update will be in roughly 5 days ish? i hope you guys will like it! Also, I'm looking forward to hearing from ya'll! Take care, and until next time ;)

Icing Nail Polish

hi girlies!

i'm staying in bed pretty much all day today, because im feeling sick. I just don't have the energy or mindset to do anything today. The weather isn't helping that much either. I look outside, and its's dark, gloomy, wet and cold. I despise this kind of weather the most, it just makes me soo URGHHH. haha.

Anywas, i thought i'd do some swatches of these nail polishes that i've gotten almost a month ago now. The colours really caught my eyes when i saw these. They are PERFECT for the spring and summer season! just look at these colours. How can you resist them? Btw, i got these at Icing, at the mall. It might be found only in Canada. I never heard of them in the states.

Here is the set of nail polishes. There is a total of 5 super pretty pastel colours (which i love!)

Amount in each bottle: 12 ml or 0.40fl
Price: $16.00 CAD

now i'm just gonna do a swatch for em each one by one. i wish these nail polishes were named it's be much easier. but anywhoo..

here is the yellow one. I thought this was the most difficult to use. It streaked quite a bit. this was how bad it looked:

here it is with 2 layers. much much better. Love the glossy finish

yay! for yellow. this is the first time i had yellow nail polish on. i do love it

here is the gorgeous baby blue. Reminds me of the pretty skies on a hot summer day without clouds. this was one of the best to apply within the set. Little to no streaking, or is it just me?

this is the pretty pink. it's more cooled tone i'd say. it almost looks like there is a purple under tone? This was the easiest to apply. No streaking, and only needed one layer.

now i have a pretty pastel orange? i love this colour. i painted it on my toe-ies

it was the 2nd more difficult to apply, after the yellow. It streaked quite a bit, and def need a second layer. but this was the colour that made me want this nail polish set.

moving alongg...this is the last pretty colour. It's like a grass green. very bright. i really like this colour. It applied on very well.

Now after all these photos, i'll give you guys a quick run down about these babies

Pros
- very pretty colours
- glossy finish
- dries quickly
- last about a week before it starts fading
- very opaque colours
- affordable set

Cons
- the yellow and orange colour streaks a lot
- might need to apply more then one layer
- difficult to find

Note: some of the formula is thicker then the other. i dont know if this is a good or bad thing. It might be a con when u layer it, because it starts to look thick and gross.

also, i found the streaking problem can be minimized if you just load your brush up with the nail polish and work fast.

Recommendation: i do love this set. Despite it streaking the colours make up for it and i can't demand a whole lot with that price tag. The size is great for me, because i never finish a whole bottle anywas. these colours are gorgeous and they are great for the summer season. if you don't feel comfortable using them on your fingers, i really recommend applying them on your toes. It will make your shoes pop!

Just to add to this post. I'd thought i share with you guys what i often do. When i have a nail polish that streaks a lot, not opaque enough, or just blah. i often layer it with another nail polish. Often times i use a more shimmer, but sheen nail polish as the top layer to hide the streak or what not.

Here is what i did with the blue nail polish:

have fun playing with your nail polishes ladies! take care. I see lightning.. . O.O it's gonna be a stormy night

<3 take care and thanks for reading

Happy Valentines Day NOTD

HIIIIIIIIIIIII everyone!

i know i have been abandoning my blogspot for a while. It's because this is the last week of class for me until m spring/reading week. So i had midterms, and projects due. The good news is, I am now offically FREE :D

When i got home today, i had the nicest, sweetest nap, since forever. I haven't had one of those naps in a LONG LONG time. My days usually consist of waking up at 7.30-8.30. and coming home from school around 6. Can you believe it. that's almost 12 hours.

My bf's sister wonder how i'm still sane.............i say...there's a light at the end of the tunnel, bcos summer vacation is just around the corner !

but anyways, when i got up from my nap, i finished doing my nails. I finished the left hand, before i fell asleep, and then finished the right hand afterwards

This is the finally result! it took my probably 5 tries to get these. It was really hard. I had problems figuring out the colours, and design. But i do like the ending result, and i hope you do as well: ENJOY!

P.S the hearts were so hard to draw.If you have nail stickers, or nail jewels in shapes on heart, definitely try replacing my fugly hearts with them!

Step 1: Gradient with the first three colours
Step 2: Drawing heart, and design with the next three colours

Avon- Cotton Candy ( don't rec this one, i only used this for the colour- wayyy too watery )
Salley Hansen - # 28
Revlon - Berry Rhumba - Limited Edition
Essi - Blanc
Essi - Exposure
Art Deco - (no name, just look for the white one, this is FINE TIP, good for strokes..etc)

and that is it, i hope you enjoyed! Now go make your nails pretty for valentines days. HAPPY VALENTINES everyone....<3

Mac LilyLand & All Ages, All Races & All Sexs Review + Swatches

*warning this post will be picture heavy

Hi all!

i have been meaning to update on some beauty purchases for a while now..almost 2 months now? so there is quite a bit of product whoring in this post. If you haven't been in Mac for a while, the Lilyland and All Races collection are now released.
Yesterday, i bused to the mall to get it first, before they sell out. Sometimes certain products sell out very fast, so i want to make sure i get what i want.

The thing is like this. I went to mac the day before it was released, and the girls working there were showing some other customers what was gonna be released tomorrow. I was lucky to find out so i went there early after class to get these blushes that i wanted from the Lilyland collection. I swatched them the day i found out they were gonna release, and they are amazing! And the orange colour was already sold out in the pro store, because all the artists working there has already reserved them. So sucks for us. i had to get it at the "The Bay" stand, instead of the pro store.

Anywas, enough of my rambling. i didn't intend on buying as much as i did. I think because i haven't bought anything from MAC in a while, that i was just a little possessed.

Mac LilyLand Collection:

What i recommend from this Collection:

The Lipgelee and the BLUSHES!
The pretty eyeshadows, and the powder compact are nothing special to me. Unless you are a die-hard mac collector, i wouldn't recommend it.

This is the baggie of goodies. Not all purchased on the same day. Some were gifts from Christmas..etc.

So lets start off with the blushes. The lilyland collection is full of very bright pretty and fun colours. It consists of pinks, oranges, and magenta. What stood out for me in this collection are the cream blushes! If you love cream blushes, i don't think you want to miss out on these babies.

These are all the blushes that i got within the 2 months

The top row is from the lilyland collection. (left) so sweet so fun, (right) Optomistic Orange. The bottom row (left) peaches , (right) personal style - from All Races collection

What was i thinking when i got the orange???

I have too many pink-tone blushes. It's time to expand the collection. I really like how it looks when it's sheered out. It's so pretty. You can easily add a hint of pink if you apply a pink powder blush on top. But it's already very pretty on it's on.

Here is a swatch of the Optimistic ORange

Its pretty. THere is a hint of pink in it when you sheer it out. Or maybe i'm seeing things?? I tried to sheer out the left side, and left the right side opague

A Review:

The consistency, and texture of these cream blushes is SOOOO AMAZING! i can't not even explain it. I already have one cream blush from the original line, and i love it an all, but the texture and consistency of the ones in this collection compared to the ones from the permanent line, is like comparing heaven and hell. okay...Not that crazy , but you get the picture. I didn't think there was anything special about these blushes, until the girl there told me to swatch it. It was AMAZIING. It feels much more creamy, much more "watery". It's like a jelly feeling. It would be SUPPER easy to blend with these babbies. THere is no resistance when you blend it on your cheeks with your fingers. I always find with the original cream blush formula, it's a little tough to blend out, because of the thicker consistency.

Here is a comparison of the permanent Line one that i already own, called (right) Lady Blush, and the Lilyland - So sweet so easy Cream blushes

right, lady left so sweet so easy

left, lady right so sweet so easy

you can see the "lady" blush is thicker, and more opague. The new one is a thinner consistency. There is no resistance in blending it into your cheeks, and the colour a bit more sheer, but buildable. IT's definately neat to get one of them if you don't already have a similar shade.

THis is a shade i got from the All races COllection. Another very wearable colours. I do not own anything that is this shade, and i do like it. It gives you a fresh differeny look, especially when i'm always wearing pink blushes. Gives you a very soft and natural look. Could be used for contouring

SO here are the other blushes. This one is PEACHES. from the permanent line. It's a matte finish. I think it's really pretty. Less pink, and more coral and neutral. Great for natural wear. It has been my new favourite. I definately love MATTE blushes more than shimmer. I feel like shimmer is overdone, and it emphasize my cheeks to much. Sometimes you don't want to emphasize it when you are breaking out there. haha. This would be your everyday neutral colour.

I also got this LipGelee from the LilyLand Collection. I don't own any Lipgelee, but i already love how they feel. It's very moisturizing, and much less sticky, but they are super shimmery! If you love shimmer, you'd like these. I'm not a big fan of shimmer, but the colour looks too amazing. There is also a purple one, but i don't think i'd look good in it, so i didn't get it. But i'd recommend that one if you are interested.

This is Lush and Bright. IT's a pretty colour. I prob won't apply it all over my lips tho, just in the middle to give the lips a little of a plump.

are you bored yet?? i told u it's gonna be massive...

So let's move onto eyeshadow.

This is one that my little brother bought for me for christmas, i only asked for one

It's called : Suave Intentions, from the Lace collection. I"m trying to expand my blue eyeshadows, and i thought these are pretty. The pigmentation is great. Very soft and pigmented, and blendable. All that i ask for in an eyeshadow.

At the end of the shopping spree. i was looking at pigments. Mac has changed their packaging for pigments if you don't already know. You will not recieve less, and pay for the same price. It's a bit of a rip, but i guess you will never use it all. But than again..yahh...what can we do..

This colour is called Teal: It's friggin gorgeous. The girl gave me more than i should've in my opinion, but i guess cos she saw me there so often that she hooked me up. HAHA. LOVES! THis is a permanent colour

So LAST but not LEAST. i want to show you guys my nails. I didn't do any design, but i really like the colour, so i wanted to share. I 've been making use of the nail polishes that i thought were useless. But i realized. If you just layer them on you are creating a new colour.

These are the tools:

And here they are on my toes....this was after i did my nails...

Not that flattering right??? Well because the pink was so opague, that it just looked kindda werid??

So i decided to layer on a non-opague colour. One that is MUCH more sheer. and this is my result:

hhaha. i told you love barbie pink.....I've been really loving coral colours as well...

But anywhoo.. i hope you enjoyed this long and whoring post. If you don't like to read these kinds of posts, just ignore em. I like haul posts, it gives me ideas on what to purcahse.

Take care!
